Forecasting of rare metall deposits prospecting in Proterozoic complexes of the Ukrainian Shield

The geochemical specialization and orebearing ability of main types (alkaline magmatic and metasomatic rocks, differentiated granites and their pegmatites, Sc-U albitites) of crystalline rocks from the Ukrainian Shield  are considered. The prospects, forecasting areas and exploration of rare metals (Zr, Nb, REE, Y) deposits are shown. As a main result of investigation, the evidence availability for exploration of rare metal deposits (non-traditional type) related to hypersolvus syenites is cited.

Crystal chemical criteria of formation and evolution of nano-phases in rock-forming minerals of igneous rocks

Original systematization of nano-dimensional structural and substitution defects in crystals of natural minerals, mostly of different types of clusters which can be regarded as primary superatomic structural elements at forming new mineral phases, is presented.

The Geochemistry of Gold of Greenstone structures and proterozoic zones activization

The largest gold deposits are confined to the greenstone belts in Archean cratons. The most promising to search for and exploration of precious metals in the Ukrainian Shield is a hydrothermal-metasomatic type ores, dedicated to the Archean greenstone structures. Maximum perspectives has Dnieper-structure-metallogenic zone - a typical granite-greenstone region. All known here greenstone structure (Sura, Chertomlyk etc.) contain displays of gold of different ranks.

Development of new ways of transformation of low magnetic minerals (hematite, goethite) into strong magnetic minerals (magnetite, maghemite) to improve the efficiency of oxidized ferruginous quartzites benefication.

Objects of research - the collection of samples of goetite and hematite ores from deposits of Krivoy Rog and Kerch regions. Research methods and apparatus: magnetometry method (magnetometer with Hall sensor), magnetic resonance method (EPR spectrometer RE- 1306 (Russia ), PS100X (Belarus)) , X-ray diffraction (DRON -4M), NGR spectroscopy , X-ray fluorescence analysis. Collections of goetite and hematite ores from deposits of Krivoy Rog and Kerch regions were created.

Mechanisms of structure and magnetic properties transformation of iron oxides and oxohydroxides as a basis for solution of mineralogical, material science and technological problems.

Collection of samples of iron oxides and hydroxides from iron ore deposits of the Krivoy Rog area, Kerch region and the Ural region are created. The phase composition, magnetic properties, chemical composition of the samples from created collections were determined.

Criteria of determination of the second salt halos of heavy metals of natural and tehnogenic origin

The optimum, effective and economic advantageous complex of geochemical criteria of determination of the second salt halos of heavy metals of natural and tehnogenic origin is developed. The set criteria will be allowed at first in the decision of direct searches of minerals after the second halos of dispersion, and secondly in the decision of tasks of ecological character. For this purpose different methods of research were used - chemical, ion-selektiv, atomic-absorption, thermodynamics analysis, method of mathematical design.

Estimation of ore-formationand deposits of fluorine of the Ukrainian shield as complex raw material

Research of prognostication of ore-formation fluorine, especially as complex raw material, are conducted on the north-western, central and south-west territories USh. Basic attention is spared the ore-formation Sushano-Pergansky area (Central, Yastrubetsky and West- Yastrubetsky), Podolsky-Pridnestrovsky area (The Bahtinsky deposit, ore-formation - Skazintsky, Gerebilovka, Lipchani, Perekorintsky, Visheolchedaevsky, a and other) and Bobrinetsky-Kirovogradsky area (The Bobrinetsky group of ore-formation).

Mineralogy and genesis of rare-aerth ores Anadol type (Azov)

The investigation of main ore-forming minerals of  Anadol ore occuarence was performed by different methods: X-ray diffraction and electronic microprobe analysis, optical and electronic microscopy.  The results showed that the concentrators of rare-earth elements (REE) was minerals of different classes -  allanite, cerite (silicates), britholite (silicophosphate), bastnaesite (carbonate), monazite (phosphate), cerianite (oxide). However anymore  98% from the most quantity of REE concentrated in silicates, thus 90% - in  allanite.

Object of researches - ore manifestations of molybdenum and tungsten mineralization in Precambrian complexes of the Ukrainian Shield.
