By the study results of apatite-ilmenite mineralization in anorthosite-rapakivi granit plutons (ARGP) of the Ukrainian Shield (USh) it is found out that type of this mineralization depends on alkalinity of orebearing complexes: essential ilmenite mineralization is confined to "norithic" type of gabbroids, but ilmenite-apatite mineralization - to "troctolitic" one. It is concluded about different types of initial melts for apatite-ilmenite and essential ilmenite deposits (for the first one - enriched in titanium subalkaline basalts, for the second one - jotunitic type). Besides well known typical deposits new for USh perspective types of occurrences of apatite (Goloskiv, Verbka) and ilmenite (Kuksungur) have been found and studied. Apatite-ilmenite deposits related to ARGP of USh essentially differ from well known foreign analogs (Tellnes, Grader, Suwalki) by many peculiarities of mineral composition. It is explained by considerably deeper erosion cut of Ukrainian deposits. Authors presume that combined apatite-rare metal deposits related to rocks of alkaline-ultrabasic complexes of USh (carbonatites, melteigite-jacupirangites, tweitasites) have been formed in abyssal conditions (10-20 km) too. In detail by means of ICP MS apatite is studied. The difference of isotope composition (87Sr/86Sr) in this mineral from different type of deposits are found. The patterns of REE distribution in apatites from particular genetical type of deposits have their peculiarities. It can be as criteria for diagnostics and prospecting of orebearing rocks in different complexes. It is made a mark on perspective areas for prospecting of apatite and ilmenite deposits within the USh.
